East Midlands Crossroads Caring for Carers Bereavement Team

Who is the Bereavement Group for?

The East Midlands Crossroads Bereavement Self Help Group provides support for people who have suffered bereavement, be it a friend, family member or a partner.

Why do people go to Self Help Groups?

People react in different ways in experiencing bereavement. Many find the opportunity to meet and talk with people who have encountered similar experiences very helpful. East Midlands Crossroads provides that facility, so people in the Nottinghamshire area can meet to enjoy tea, coffee and a light buffet, whilst being offered support and the chance to support others in a friendly and relaxed environment.

About the Bereavement Group

The Bereavement Group aims to help those who have encountered the loss of a loved one. To meet this need and to ensure the group remains representative of its members, East Midlands Crossroads invites the members to lead the group. Therefore we can be assured that the activities of the group, the day trips out, and the time and location for meeting are both appropriate and wanted by all the group members.
